We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of care. Position Summary The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department, ensuring that all nursing services are delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The DON will work closely with the Administrator and other department heads to maintain the quality of care and improve resident outcomes. This is a leadership role that requires a passion for nursing, a commitment to resident care, and strong organizational and management skills. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate resident care to ensure high standards of care and service. Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of resident care, medications, and treatments. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery. Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure staff education and training are up-to-date. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio, in good standing. Long Term Care Management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
