We are committed to care and believe there's always more at NCH - for you and every person we serve together.Job SummaryThe Advanced Practice Provider is an advanced practice nurse who is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions for patients of the NCH Physician Group.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCommunication with Administrative/Clinical Staff.Organizational and Medical Ethics.Strategic Planning: participating in the development of their practice’s strategic plan.Performance Improvement: following the performance evaluation program created by the Quality of Care Committee.APP Recruitment: facilitating the recruitment of high-quality APPs and other professional personnel for the NCH Physician Group.Contracting: delivering medical care in a manner that is consistent with the terms of managed care and insurance contracts into which NCH Physician Group enters.Litigation: assisting the NCH Physician Group administrative team prepare for and respond to all litigation in which it is involved.CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: providing leadership for all the NCH Physician Group’s patient care activities.Support of Clinical OperationsFostering high quality and efficient clinical operations within NCH Physician Group.Participating in the supervision of medical support staff.Participating in the design, development and implementation of clinical programs.Participating in the oversight of medical services and clinical procedures.Providing direct patient care in those instances where it is necessary for the patient’s well-being.Managed CareEnhance administrative and medical staff awareness, knowledge, and skill to operate collaboratively within a managed care environment.Participate as needed in managed care negotiations.Participate and assist NCH Physician Group in responding to appeals, denials, and other key communications with third party payers.Education, Experience And QualificationsMinimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited school of nursing and have completed advanced practice or nurse practitioner program.Minimum of experience in clinical with outstanding teaching skills and the ability to facilitate organizational change.Must have Board Certification in area of specialty.Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the State of Florida.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.NCH is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
