Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a PlumberBackground:The Plumber is responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems. Plumbers also oversee the fitting and repair of sanitation systems such as showers, underground pipes, toils, and sinks. Plumbers, in performing their duties, inspect work sites to determine the type and amount of material/equipment required for plumbing work. They study architectural drawings to understand the structure of a water supply or drainage system. Their role also entails testing plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults. Plumbers utilize a range of equipment/tools, among which include a wrench, spade, rule, soldering torch, and saw. They use the equipment in measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes and other plumbing structures. As the Lead Maintenance Technician, they provide field guidance and the distribution of daily work to all other work classes. They follow up and verify work has been completed as per industry standards. They ensure field safety standards are being followed. This is not a management role, and this position does not have the authority to discipline or recommend discipline to other employees.Responsibilities:Maintain pipes and drains.Repair clogged pipes and clear drains.Repair water supply piping systemsUtilize hand tools in fitting valves, couplings, and components for tanks, pumps, or other plumbing systems.Immerse pipes in chemical solutions such as bleach and dispersants to remove oil, dirt, and scale. Mount hangers and brackets on walls to provide support for pipes. Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards.Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and initiate repairs.Maintain the buildings' water and sanitation.Install plumbing systems such as sinks, toilets, and install supports and hangers for plumbing fixtures and pipes.Troubleshoot plumbing fixtures to perform repair or replacement of damaged components.Oversee the selection and procurement of materials required for a plumbing installation/repair.Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job tasks due to exposure to hazards common to plumbing and facility maintenance work.Other facility maintenance duties, as assigned.Requirements and Qualifications:Security Requirement:It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. Education/Experience Requirement:REQUIRED:Knowledge of acceptable maintenance procedures and understanding of occupational safety and health regulations.Attention to small details and highly organized.Must maintain facilities and keep them in above-average condition.Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record to drive at the job site.Must have and maintain Florida Plumbers license/certifications.Minimum 5 years of experience with complex systems and/or the industrial sector.Candidate must pass a drug test. Excellent oral and written communication skills.Detail-oriented and highly safety-conscious.Ability to perform each bullet point task in the position summary.Ability to work on-site during normal working hours; position may require occasional call-ins for special circumstances.Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.PREFERRED:High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.Experience working in a government facility.Work Environment: Operations and Maintenance Contract for the United States Army. 470,000 square foot Central Administrative Facility. Work includes indoor and outdoor and includes exposure to hazards common to plumbing and facility maintenance work. Some of the work locations are in tight spots that require being able to climb, squat, bend, and/or kneel alone due to a lack of space that would allow for another employee to perform work in the plumber's direction.Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during 1st shift, Mon-Fri, or as established by the RA.
