Temp-Desktop Services Specialist II

Overview East West Bank is looking for a Desktop Services Support Tech II. The role reports to the FVP, Desktop Services Manager and supports the assigned location in troubleshooting associates devices, finding solutions, guiding and training associates. The position also supports the call center staff on an as-needed basis and collaborates with other IT Operations teams (Telecom, Networking, Network Operations Center). Prospective candidates should be able to manage multiple vendors. Attention to detail, strong organizational and customer service skills, and a positive attitude are required. The candidate should be a self-starter who can support their assigned location with minimal day-to-day direction from management. Responsibilities Provide 7x24 support for executives and after-hours coverage as needed Respond quickly during and after business hours Support equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices Administer video conferencing equipment, infrastructure, and management systems Setup and test meeting/conference room equipment (laptops/desktops, LCDs, projectors, etc.) Coordinate with external vendors to augment audio/video services for large or unique events Provide Windows OS support and handle 3rd party software (MS Office, Edge, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) and banking-specific applications Apply knowledge of computer security, malware, threat detection/awareness/removal related to end-user devices Imaging, replacing, and troubleshooting desktops and laptops Travel locally to various offices/branches as needed Explain technical problems clearly and identify root causes for complex IT issues Collaborate with other IT staff across executive support, network, database, email, cell phones, facilities, etc. Qualifications Must pass background check Must have valid CA drivers license Must be allowed to work in the United States 10 years of experience in a desktop support environment Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $30.00/hr $36.00/hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
