This physician will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with strong clinical skills who will join the division to provide primarily inpatient Hem/Onc Hospitalist care for nights and weekends. The candidate for this clinical position will participate in clinical, research, and educational efforts and should have an interest in mentoring residents and/or H/O fellows. Responsibilities Provide inpatient Hem/Onc Hospitalist care primarily for nights and weekends. Participate in clinical, research, and educational efforts within the division. Mentor residents and/or H/O fellows. Oversee inpatient care in collaboration with residents, fellows, and advanced practice professionals. Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and other professional development activities. Engage in patient advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration across all Hem/Onc subspecialties. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physician. Assistant or Associate Professor level with strong clinical skills. Interest in mentoring residents and/or H/O fellows. Commitment to excellence, integrity, collegiality, antiracism, and respect for inclusion of diverse individuals. Academic Appointment Academic appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, the primary pediatric teaching site for students, residents, and fellows.
