OverviewGilbert Mechanical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer candidate with the ability to learn complex mechanical systems for a variety of customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical system design of projects awarded to Gilbert Mechanical on a design/build basis. This position requires the ability to research and learn mechanical systems, building codes and construction standards. Strong communication skills are also a necessity to effectively work with other team members as well as owners and architects.ResponsibilitiesCalculate heat loss/heat gain requirements for buildingsLayout of mechanical systems using AutoCAD and/or REVIT softwareField verify site conditions as requiredCoordinate system design with other tradesAttend jobsite meetings as neededIdentify and resolve issues/conflicts as they ariseMaintain and develop customer relationships.Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and ExperienceKnowledge of HVAC systemsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership and communication skillsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institutionKnowledge of Microsoft Office productsAutoCAD and REVIT software experienceDesired QualificationsNavisworks and/or Sysque software experiencePiping and/or sheet metal design experiencePlumbing systems design experienceP.E. or E.I.TCost estimation experienceTrane Trace experienceAbout LegenceLegence (Nasdaq: LGN) is a leading provider of engineering, consulting, installation, and maintenance services for mission-critical systems in buildings.
