About the Role

Darwin AI is seeking a hands-on Solutions Architect with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. If you're eager to roll up your sleeves and make an immediate impact, this role offers the opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a fast-growing company. You'll be instrumental in scaling our platform to meet the demands of our expanding client base, designing robust architectures, and solving complex structural challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Leadership: Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure architectures that address Darwin's business needs and client demands.
  • Hands-On Development: Engage directly in coding and development to bring architectural designs to life.
  • Scalability Planning: Develop strategies to effectively scale our platform across a growing number of clients and projects.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Analyze complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive architectural documents and technical guidelines to support development efforts and knowledge transfer.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor development team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.


Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a strong background in backend technologies, particularly Python.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable architectures in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency with databases, including SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems.
  • Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.


Technical Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript/React.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure, particularly AWS (Lambda, EC2, etc.).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA).
