Ryder is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team in Salina, KS. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Technician to perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, and perform facility maintenance duties. If you have a passion for working with heavy-duty vehicles and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
  • Perform other support duties as required to support operations
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
