POSITION OVERVIEW: The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of operations to produce metal various common and exotic for our product line. The employee would be responsible for loading and unloading metal parts, changing tooling, reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machine, and adjusting the machine settings for the needed specifications. The CNC Machinist position would require working knowledge of press breaks and lasers. The CNC Production Manager will ensure safety, quality, and schedule requirements are met daily. The CNC Machinist will report to the CNC Lead.CNC Machine Operator General Responsibilities Read work orders and blueprints (materials, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances) to machine products accurately Assist Production Manager in inspections of equipment, materials, and products Prepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines Monitors the machines while they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustments to produce a better result Choosing, changing, and loading the correct cutting tools for the job Utilizes precision measuring tools to inspect and measure products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly and meets quality standards Documents actions by completing production logs Checks, cleans, and maintains machinery daily to ensure functionality Capable of setting up mills and lathes by installing fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications is a plus Possesses ethical behavior, attention to detail, self-motivation, precision, and enforces quality standards Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to speak and read English fluently, and have good written and verbal communication 3-5 of experience working with CNC Machines or in a manufacturing plant preferred Previous experience with lathes, mills, press breaks, plasma machines, small hand tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are a plus Learns and applies the latest relevant knowledge to the work Possesses ethical behavior, attention to detail, self-motivation, precision, and enforces quality standards Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel, and crawl. Ability to work overtime, and after-hours when required.
