Battery Assembly Technician (Night Shift/AWS) Amprius Technologies, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high‑energy lithium‑ion batteries. We are looking for a Battery Assembly Technician to join our team. This is a 6‑month temporary role. Salary USD 23.00 to 28.00 per hour, plus night shift premium. Job Summary Battery Assembly Technician uses equipment and hand tools to produce proprietary silicon anode Li‑Ion cells. Must be reliable, able to work well in a team, and have experience with mechanical assembly. Job Responsibilities Assemble battery components according to specifications. Test completed batteries to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Inspect materials and components using tools such as micrometer, mass scale, digital multimeter, and caliper. Record production data and report any issues to supervisor or manager. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets. Operate and maintain assembly line equipment. Troubleshoot minor technical issues with assembly equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow company safety protocols. Requirements Experience or willingness to learn hand tools such as die punch, rotary tool, cutters. Manual dexterity and good hand‑eye coordination. Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools. Basic understanding of assembly line processes. Basic computer skills for accurate data entry. Attention to detail and focus on quality. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and workplace policies. Team‑work oriented mindset. Education & Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. One year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive industries. Physical Demands & Work Location On‑site in Fremont, CA; reliable commute or relocation before start required. Can lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull. Adhere to safety protocol and use PPE including lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator, and safety shoes. Work Schedule Alternate Workweek Schedule (AWS): 3‑days × 12‑hour / 4‑days × 12‑hour every other week. Shift timings: 5:30 pm to 6:00 am. Benefits Salary plus night shift premium. Traditional and Roth 401(k). Cell phone reimbursement up to $50 per month.
