Operating at the intersection of traditional finance and technology, FalconX provides a comprehensive solution for digital asset strategies and aims to empower clients with seamless navigation through the cryptocurrency landscape.Impact: As a Regulatory Reporting / Finance Associate at FalconX, you will support the Chief Financial Officer of FalconX Bravo, the regulated swap dealer entity, in matters related to accounting, bookkeeping, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and financial statement audits. You will also contribute to enhancements for Accounts Payable processes.ResponsibilitiesPrepare daily balance sheet, income statement, and regulatory capital reports for FalconX BravoOversee the preparation, procedures, and submission of monthly regulatory report filings to the CFTC and NFA for FalconX BravoIdentify opportunities to enhance finance reporting processes, including automation of accounting close processes, and implement internal controls to safeguard against potential risksAct as point of contact for external auditors, respond to inquiries, and review documentationImplement recommendations from audit findingsStay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory capitalMaintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements, reporting standards, and relevant US GAAP for financial servicesSupport management in preparing materials for regulatory examinations and senior management presentationsReview and maintain internal policies and procedures for FalconX BravoConduct ad-hoc reporting and analytics for FalconX BravoAccounts payable: process vendor invoices, maintain vendor relationships, resolve billing discrepancies, and execute payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers in compliance with company policiesReview employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance, reconciling reimbursements with paymentsManage email communications related to accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and reconciliations, ensuring timely resolutionSupport audits with documentation and assistance, and help implement audit recommendationsPerform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesConduct balance sheet reconciliations and assist in preparing documentation for financial reporting and auditsAccurately record financial transactions in the general ledger, review journal entries, and support month-end closeSuccessContribute to building robust in-house capabilities for Finance (including AP) and Regulatory Capital managementDemonstrate passion for a dynamic digital assets environment and a willingness to learn and growCollaborate effectively with all teams to achieve optimal financial outcomesExhibit strong multitasking abilities and the ability to work under pressureRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) preferred3-5 years of Accounting/Finance experienceExpertise in broker-dealer/swap-dealer regulatory reporting preferredExperience in financial institutions or fintech startups preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceFamiliarity with NetSuite preferredStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex financial dataStrong understanding of financial and banking products, regulatory requirements, and US GAAPSelf-motivated with initiative and the ability to work independentlyHigh accuracy in all tasks; strong verbal and written communication skillsPrior experience in the cryptocurrency market is advantageous but not requiredCompensation: The base pay for this role is expected to be between $111,000 - $150,000 in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. This range is based on information at the time of posting. This role is eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance-based bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
