Grant Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Track, record, and report expenditures for grant-funded programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant terms
    • Ensure adherence to City, County, State, and Federal funding requirements, while maintaining relationships with grant funders, program managers, and internal/external partners
      • Oversee full auditing processes, manage agency billing, prepare interim reports, and generate detailed financial reports for funders
      Grant Accountant Requirements:
      • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
        • 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with specific experience in grants management within a nonprofit environment
          • Proficiency in Great Plains and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
            • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy when handling grant financial data, preparing reports, and performing reconciliations
              • Problem-Solving Skills: Comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies in grant financial reports or budgets
