Senior SAP Basis Consultant – SAP S/4HANA & BTP Administration Location: Houston, TX – Onsite ID: 811922 Experience: 15‑17 Years Opening: 1 Type: Sub‑contract Seniority Level: Director Employment Type: Contract Job Function: Information Technology Industries: Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage Role Overview We are looking for a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to lead the BTP implementation and migration of legacy applications to SAP S/4HANA leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, hosting, installation, system upgrades, and cloud platform integration, with hands‑on experience managing BTP subaccounts, user administration and secure connectivity. Key Responsibilities Drive architectural decisions, impact analysis and continuous improvements. Perform basis housekeeping activities. Lead application installation and maintenance for on‑premise and cloud applications. Execute system upgrades, kernel patches and performance tuning. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for SAP landscapes. Administer SAP BTP subaccounts, entitlements and destinations. Manage user provisioning and role assignments in SAP BTP. Handle transport management across BTP subaccounts. Configure SAP Cloud Connector for hybrid connectivity. Set up trust configurations and certificate management. Oversee licensing and subscription management for BTP services. Integrate SAP BTP with Azure Entra ID or OKTA for authentication and SSO. Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams for seamless integration of .NET, Java and SAP applications. Ensure compliance with security standards in hybrid cloud environments. Must‑Have Skills Advanced SAP Basis administration (install, upgrade, tuning). Transport management and certificate handling in BTP. Role‑based access control and trust configuration. SAP Cloud Connector setup and maintenance. Integration with Azure Entra ID/OKTA and secure connectivity. Nice‑to‑Have Skills SAP BTP catalog creation and role administration. SAP BTP work‑zone setup and administration. Theme design and customization for SAP BTP. SAP BTP ABAP environment setup. Advanced transport management across subaccounts. Qualifications & Experience 8 to 10 years in SAP Basis administration. 3 to 5 years in SAP BTP administration and cloud integration. Preferred Certifications SAP BTP Administrator or related certification. Soft Skills Strong leadership and project management capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Ability to work in hybrid cloud environments and global teams. Mandatory Technical Skills DB Management for SAP Systems. Advanced SAP Basis operations. Core SAP Basis. SAP Performance Management.
