If so, then come join a passionate team focused on safe and efficient solutions Now offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician will: Repair, maintain and improve equipment operation, efficiency, reliability, and safety. Properly repair and complete maintenance of electrical equipment with minimal supervision. Conduct electrical equipment inspections, maintenance, and repair, including suggesting and implementing improvements to equipment reliability and efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair process instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), three-phase circuits and other process control hardware. THE QUALIFICATIONS The right candidate will be an experienced electrician with solid troubleshooting skills. Your credentials ideally include: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 5 years industrial electrical experience or equivalent combination of experience and education Strong commitment to safety Possess a strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and compliance in relation to, transformer operation and theory, electrical circuit design such as three-phase and motor control circuits, and PLC input/output and instrument wiring Prior experience with electric motors and starters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, D/C circuit analysis and PCs and their operating systems Ability to work on day shift Monday - Friday, but be available for rotating callout coverage Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot and program electrical and electronic equipment, including Allen-Bradley PLCs THE COMPANY Carus is a highly respected, family-owned company with deep roots in Illinois' Starved Rock Country.
