We are seeking a Production Support Specialist to be staffed long-term at one of our clients. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable in a client‑facing position, capable of managing production support issues, executing migrations and deployments, and proactively identifying and resolving system issues. Position Overview As a Production Support Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining production systems, managing deployments, and troubleshooting technical and business issues in real time. This role requires hands‑on experience with reporting tools (OBIEE/Power BI), databases (Snowflake or Oracle DB), and a strong understanding of business intelligence and financial systems. You will work closely with on‑site and offshore teams, ensuring smooth production operations and issue resolution. Locations: Remote; Boston, MA Area Job Type: Full Time Employee Key Responsibilities Actively monitor and support production systems to ensure availability and performance. Investigate and diagnose issues, resolving them in production when needed. Manage migrations and deployments, including OBIEE, Power BI, and database changes. Execute net new deployments and fixes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Dive deep into technical and functional issues, proactively identifying root causes and providing realtime resolution for critical production issues. Work with development and infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve complex issues. Support and maintain reporting tools, including OBIEE and Power BI. Work with databases such as Snowflake or Oracle DB to support business reporting needs. Serve as a business‑facing liaison, working directly with client teams to understand and resolve issues. Document recurring issues and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference. Develop and maintain production support documentation to improve operational efficiency. Work with an onsite and offshore team to ensure 24/7 production support coverage. Qualifications and Experience Experience with reporting tools such as OBIEE and Power BI. Strong experience with Snowflake or Oracle Database. Strong understanding of data integration tools (Informatica is a plus). Experience managing deployments, migrations, and production system support. Strong functional knowledge of accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial close, and account reconciliation. Experience in full consulting project lifecycles requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and user training. Proficiency in managing support services, including ticketing systems and SLA management. Ability to interact with business users and understand their reporting and data needs. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate, identify, and resolve issues proactively. Self‑motivated and confident in handling production challenges independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Technical Skills Experience with Astronomer for workflow orchestration. Familiarity with Informatica for data management and integration. Requirements B.S. or B.A. degree in business, MIS, or equivalent required. Flexibility to travel if required. Integrity and honesty.
