Join the team to help improve the quality of life for residents and property owners in St. James  The City of St. James is looking to fill the Street/Park Maintenance Position.  Under the direction of the Street/Parks Superintendent, this position assists with all functions of the Street/Park Department, including streets, parks and infrastructure.  Essential job duties include manual labor and equipment operation in the maintenance of parks, city streets, and buildings.   Candidates must be citizen focused have exceptional communication, customer service, and listening skills, along with being able to work cooperatively as a member of the team, develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, and willing to learn new skills.  Minimum requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, MN CDL Class A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement within six-months of hire, and ability to lift 75 pounds.  Employment experience in the Public Works field is desired. Position has a work schedule of 40 hours per week and subject to overtime based upon work requirements.
