You get the “big” picture and want to contribute accordingly – and that’s why you’ll have all the opportunity for career growth within our company you’ll want.ResponsibilitiesEngineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Environmental Senior Project Manager specializing in industrial hygiene and indoor air quality. This person will need to be CAC certified.The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project. The Senior Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client on their projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.Key ResponsibilitiesActively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the teamAttend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessaryMarket our services. Maintain and further develop the client databaseStrong ability to manage project budgets and prepare change orders. Manage project budgets and oversee budgets of others as assigned. Review change orders and invoices. Assist with collection effortsScheduling, training and oversight of subordinate staff membersStrong ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlinesOversee environmental projects. Assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staff. Responsible for several projects being performed simultaneouslyOversee the preparation and review of proposals and change ordersPrepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations. Oversee the preparation and review of environmental reports from junior staffPerform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to submission for Principal reviewHost or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questionsCollaborate with other managers to make staffing decisionsManage asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessmentsReview daily reports produced by field staff. Perform routine visits to active project sites to ensure appropriate quality and progress. Mentor junior staff as needed. Communicate project completion milestones with client and advise on any significant directional changesDirect site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff and senior managers on several projects concurrentlySolid understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission regulations and guidelinesIndependently prepare reports to be reviewed by a Principal. Review reports that are completed by subordinates prior to Principal review. Lead client meetings and/or calls to present/discuss report findings and conclusionsExtensive knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studiesCommunicate with junior staff to direct field work performed by subcontractors and other ECS technicians and other field staff. Likely will require managing and/or performing multiple projects simultaneouslyOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualificationsBS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Geology, or a related discipline; MS preferred10+ years of direct experience in asbestos consulting; Experience with asbestos/lead/mold abatement preferredMust have active Certified Asbestos Consultant certification (CAC)Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, not requiredSkills and AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of environmental principles and applicationsExtensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methodsExtensive ability to manage and develop new clients. Seek out opportunities to develop relationships with clientsReview and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others. Perform training and/or corrective action as necessaryExcellent ability to manage and develop new clientsExperience delegating/assigning projects and tasks to other staff while also managing other projects independentlyThe expected pay range for this role and location is $95,000 - $150,000/year.
