Responsibilities
Determine Cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drive and service information (bulletins) and information supplied by customers
Provide service advisors with accurate information for repairs (cost, parts needed, time, etc.)
Review vehicle history files, promote the sales of labor and parts as needed on vehicles
Report any damage on injury to service manager immediately
Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings
Document work performed and applicable technical information
Keep work areas cleaned and organized
Return Company tools to designated areas daily
Test Drive with customers when necessary to prevent comebacks
Maintain required production levels 100-110%
Qualifications
ASEP/GM is preferred
ASE Certified is a plus or must be willing to obtain certification, and/or 5 or more years previous experience
Diagnostic skills
A desire to do tasks correctly the first time
Goal oriented
Professional attitude and capable of working with customers
Maintain a clean, neat professional personal appearance
Must have a valid IL driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Hours
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
