Our client, a global Financial Firm, based in Boston, is seeking a talented Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join their fund. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of progressive technical support experience with an emphasis on designing and delivering desktop solutions to end users. Applicants should possess educational and personal achievement along with a passion for technology. Financial industry knowledge is not a prerequisite, but an interest in the application of technology to support a finance environment is a must. Providing excellent customer support and quickly learning new technologies will be necessary in this position. We expect you to support applications, desktops, and scripts throughout their life cycles. An ideal candidate will be a self‑starter, personable, have exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and an unrelenting drive to implement effective solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences 4+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure exposure supporting end‑user systems in an enterprise environment 2+ years of engineering and implementing end‑user systems in an enterprise environment Administration level knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Operating Systems Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and management tools Experience managing projects including milestones and target completion dates Knowledge of desktop and server hardware, including performance optimization Familiarity with MDM/MAM solutions Fundamental knowledge of IP networking, routing, and system security Strong exposure to utilizing PowerShell in management of systems Proficiency in VOIP and SIP video conferencing technologies Beneficial to Your Candidacy Programming and scripting languages Imaging solutions such as Windows Deployment Services and System Center Configuration Manager Understanding of Unix/Linux especially RHEL and CentOS Basic understanding of coding best‑practices and version control Usage of configuration management systems and automation technologies such as Ansible Exposure to JIRA and Confluence or similar suites or ticketing systems Software management including repackaging, scripted installations, and deployment Leading technical training, both one‑on‑one and in group sessions Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Information Technology and Engineering Industries IT System Custom Software Development, Financial Services, and Software Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at C2R Ventures by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
