Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation, including annual and quarterly performance bonuses or premiums, may be available depending on specific circumstances. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the store manager with various responsibilities including sales, customer service, store operations, and store appearance. You will also lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service. We encourage bilingual candidates to apply. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Lead the store team in delivering outstanding customer service to both retail and professional customers. • Supervise customer service quality in the retail showroom, ensuring adherence to service programs. • Collaborate with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak shopping hours, such as lunch and weekends. • Assist the store manager in setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, and ensuring training is ongoing for team members. • Participate in the hiring process through recruiting tasks, scheduling, and conducting interviews. • Ensure telephone etiquette is followed according to company standards. • Oversee timely processing of online orders and communication with customers regarding shipments. • Utilize the electronic purchasing order system to manage special and outside purchases efficiently. • Handle customer returns and exchanges graciously, maintaining accuracy in refunds and processed merchandise. • Ensure proper invoicing for all merchandise before it leaves the store. • Communicate important messages and delegate merchandising tasks effectively to team members. • Ensure team compliance with company policies, including work schedules and timekeeping. • Perform all opening and closing duties, including cash handling, securing the building, and maintaining store safety. • Assist in the upkeep of the store’s physical environment, including signage and equipment. • Carry out any other tasks as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: • Completion of Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification Desired: • Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired) O'Reilly Auto Parts values growth and stability, with a strong belief in promoting from within.
