- Lake Oswego, OR Salary: Hourly Application Deadline: N/A Senior Living Facility Mary's Woods, a premier senior living community in Lake Oswego that feels just like any progressive community in Portland, is looking for cooks with professional experience, passion and creativity. We have 7 dining venues to choose from Restaurants, four Bistro Cafes, plus multiple dining venues within our assisted living and resident care neighborhoods.
As a Cook, you will be essential in preparing freshly made meals for our residents and guests at Mary's Woods. You will be working with the heart of the house leadership that welcomes your creative side while maintaining menus that are standardized and prepared consistently each day.
**Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful:**
* Responsible for the preparation of all food items on the menu for residents and personnel according to the work production sheets
* Prepare the proper amounts of all foods on the menu in accordance with dietary and production spreadsheets, standardized recipe preparation methods, portion control, time schedules and sanitary standards, as well as serving procedures
* May be required to receive food deliveries and cooperate in the preparation of food for other work shifts
* Able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents and families, and to work as a team with other employees at all levels
**Education and Experience Required:**
* Education and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma or GED
* Minimum of three years experience as a cook in a quality food services operation is preferred
* Current Oregon Food Handlers card

These are non-exempt positions and the starting wage range depends on experience and education
**Shift Available:** You will work 5 days a week/40 hours per week and the work days may vary and will include working weekends and holidays. A great benefit is that you will be home by 8pm most nights

**Sign On Bonus:** Bonus paid 50% at 90 days and 50% paid at 6 months. To be eligible you must be in good standing and have acceptable attendance.
