Descripcin general del trabajo:

Limpia y prepara las habitaciones de los huspedes y las reas pblicas cumpliendo con los estndares de limpieza establecidos por la propiedad para asegurar la satisfaccin del husped y potenciar al mximo las ganancias.

Responsabilidades:
  • Saca artculos de los estantes y las bodegas y prepara la carretilla de limpieza con los productos; constantemente mantiene las carretillas de limpieza y las bodegas ordenados y en buenas condiciones para favorecer la eficacia y hacer ms fcil la limpieza de las habitaciones.
  • Limpia y pasa un trapo por las ventanas, puertas, paredes, closets y accesorios de las habitaciones, reas pblicas y pasillos, frecuentemente usando escaleras de mano o banquillos para limpiar las reas difciles de alcanzar para poder mantener una instalacin limpia, presentable y atractiva durante todo el tiempo. Lava las paredes de la ducha y la tina, limpia el inodoro(s) y las divisiones de los inodoros cuando corresponda; pasa un trapo hmedo por las caeras expuestas, limpia los espejos, lavabo(s) y paredes para contar con baos pblicos y para el husped que estn limpios e higinicos.
  • Repone las toallas, los jabones y todas las amenidades de la habitacin y reabastece los materiales impresos que el husped anterior se llev o que estn manchados o rotos para asegurarse que hay un suministro adecuado para los siguientes huspedes.
  • Lava a mano todas las reas que tienen piso (linleo, losa, etc.) para quitar la suciedad y limpiar las manchas.
  • Sacude y pule todos los muebles, accesorios y artculos que cuelgan de la pared, incluyendo el uso de un plumero para alcanzar los respiraderos y las esquinas de los techos para quitar el polvo y telaraas.
  • Quita toda la ropa de cama de las camas y las vuelve a tender con ropa de cama fresca, revisando la limpieza de los cubrecamas, cobijas y los forros de los colchones, reemplazndolos si estn sucios.
  • Levanta los colchones para revisar si no hay manchas entre los colchones y debajo de la camas.
  • Revisa la limpieza del closet, pasa un trapo hmedo por la puerta del closet, la manecilla y los estantes superiores y repone los artculos de la habitacin del husped, tales como ganchos para colgar, cobijas y almohadas adicionales.
  • Aspira las habitaciones, reas pblicas y pasillos operando aspiradoras que pesan hasta 25 libras y levanta y mueve muebles pesados para poder aspirar toda el rea de la alfombra, incluyendo por debajo de los muebles y por las reas difciles de alcanzar.
  • Inspecciona todos los cerrojos de las puertas y ventanas para asegurarse que funcionen correctamente e inmediatamente alerte a la gerencia a que se dirija a una situacin insegura o peligrosa para garantizar la seguridad de los huspedes y de los empleados.
  • Inspecciona todo el equipo de las habitaciones (TV, luces/lmparas, grifos, radios) para asegurarse que funcionen correctamente e inmediatamente reporta por escrito la condicin de la habitacin y las deficiencias de mantenimiento al Housekeeper Ejecutivo para que la situacin se repare o solucione sin demora.
  • Asegura y mantiene custodia del equipo, llaves y materiales durante todo el tiempo para poder proteger y conservar los bienes del hotel.

Educacin/ Entrenamiento formal

No se necesitan estudios o capacitacin formal

Experiencia

Experiencia previa en el rea de limpieza deseable

Conocimientos/Habilidades

  • Debe tener conocimiento bsico de los principios generales de limpieza, del uso de los productos de limpieza y del funcionamiento del equipo de limpieza.
  • Debe poder entender y seguir instrucciones verbales o escritas y poder comunicarse verbalmente y por escrito.
  • Excelente visin necesaria; nfasis en estndares de limpieza y control de calidad.

Demanda Fsica

Las demandas fsicas descritas aqu son representativas de las que debe cumplir un asociado para realizar con xito las funciones esenciales de este trabajo. Se pueden hacer ajustes razonables para permitir que las personas con discapacidades realicen las funciones esenciales.

  • Debe tener fuerza en la parte superior del cuerpo para levantar hasta 50 libras continuamente durante todo el transcurso del turno de trabajo.
  • Debe tener la fuerza para empujar, jalar y mover palancas, equipo y muebles durante el transcurso del turno laboral.
  • Debe poder trabajar con los brazos levantados por encima de la cabeza durante el transcurso del turno laboral.
  • Debe poder maniobrar la carretilla de limpieza completamente cargada que pese hasta 50 libras a travs de los pasillos y dentro y fuera de los closets durante el transcurso de todo el turno labora.
