An automotive parts manufacturer near the La Salle, IL area is seeking a Quality Engineer. You will support Quality Assurance to ensure customer requirements are met and overall production flow is maintained. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within automotive parts manufacturing.
This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation.
Responsibilities:
Identify root-cause of quality problems and implement corrective actions
Ensure quality requirements are met by reviewing manufacturing, testing, and supplier documentation
Provide support to Customer Service, Engineering, and Purchasing departments
Monitor and report cost of quality corrections
PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or equivalent experience
Experience with quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with TS/IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and PPAP/APQP documentation is a plus
Experience in the automotive industry is a big plus

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
