Senior Data Architect Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) seeks a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide data solutions across OLTP, OLAP, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, MDM, AI/ML, and Azure Data Platform environments. Responsibilities Establish consistent data standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best‑practice guidelines for the organization. Define reference data architecture and collaborate with agile teams to ensure documentation and practices are adopted in data‑platform development. Design and implement strategies for Data Migration (ETL), database optimization, and analytics data projects. Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex technical solutions in OLAP/OLTP/DW and analytics environments. Provide enterprise‑level application solutions utilizing the Azure Data Platform. Qualifications 10+ years in Information Technology 5–10 years in enterprise data architecture, modeling, management, and strategy 5–7 years in cloud database technologies 7–10 years as a data architect Solid understanding of database platforms and products Expertise in creating ER, logical, physical, and conceptual data models Experience in data modeling, streaming, and architecture for operational and analytical datastores Proficiency in batch and streaming data ingestion design Knowledge of Data Quality, Lineage, and Catalog solutions Experience solving performance challenges across various data velocities, latencies, and volumes Experience with SOA data layer and data access frameworks, exposing data via web services Experience in Business Intelligence and data mart architecture Ability to convey data architecture value to stakeholders and senior management Experience in SDLC, database patterns, and development frameworks Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including executive‑level presentations Experience with NoSQL and SQL datastores for high availability and disaster tolerance Preferred: Kubernetes, Cloud Native ecosystem, Data Lake/Data Warehouse technologies Deep expertise in data engineering architecture, modeling, governance, storage, security, resilience, and replication Knowledge of Informatica IICS development and maintenance Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or relational databases Experience with Azure, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, ETL, and MDM Experience with Azure Data Factory and other integration services Experience with Power BI or Qlik Experience designing large‑scale enterprise systems that are highly available, scalable, and distributed Additional certifications (Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Data Bricks) are a plus Knowledge of agency management systems such as Applied EPIC and Vertafore Sagitta is a plus Benefits Generous time off, including personal and volunteering Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities Remote work flexibility Charitable contribution match programs Stock purchase opportunities Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Advertising Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
