Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of primarily remote work, with a requirement for in-person consultations one day per month. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions to a diverse client population, ensuring the highest standards of mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for clients presenting with a range of mental health disorders.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications, ensuring clients receive optimal pharmacological treatment tailored to their needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic services, including psychotherapy, to support clients' mental health and recovery goals.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Client Education: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies to manage symptoms effectively.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of client information.
  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychiatric care, participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in the state of Arizona.
  • Certification: Board certification as a PMHNP.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience in psychiatric mental health care, preferably in both telehealth and in-person settings.
  • Skills: Proficiency in conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing psychotropic medications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Technology: Comfortable utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Availability: Ability to commit to one in-person consultation day per month at our Arizona location.
