In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a project engineer, you will perform engineering analysis and supporting calculations / documentation relating to traffic safety and operations. You will also coordinate the drafting of project deliverables for various clients. The ideal candidate has experience with traffic and safety and comprehensive knowledge of local and MassDOT standards.LocationThis position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Boston office.The Impact You Will HaveCreate and execute project work plansManage project analysis and deliverablesWork in a collaborative environment, with team members, senior staff, and external clientsInteracting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholdersRepresent Benesch at industry and professional engagement eventsWhat We Are Looking ForB.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalentA minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation and traffic engineering experienceLicensed PE in the state of MA or planning to obtain licensure within one yearPTOE License is a plusExperience working with public agencies and/or municipalities. Previous MassDOT experience preferredProgressive experience with developing plans analysis and reports per MassDOT standards and requirementsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAdvanced use of project-specific software such as CADD, Synchro, GIS, SIDRA, HCS, Vissim, etc.Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable mannerMassachusetts Pay Transparency ActThe expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency ActMassachusetts Pay Transparency Act . The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
