Food and Nutrition Supervisor

Job Summary Food and Nutrition Supervisor Supervises the operations and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department within assigned hospital and department/campus locations. Provides consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment, ensuring compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations, established policies and procedures, and department standards of performance. Hourly Wage Estimate $19.78 - $27.70 per hour. Responsibilities Evaluate existing systems and processes, initiate change and improvements, and make suggestions to Manager. Support preparation of department records, recurring and special reports and analyses indicating number and types of regular and therapeutic diets prepared, nutritional and caloric analyses of meals, food and labor costs, sanitation irregularities, menus, food production rates, and other required data. Supervise effective operation of assigned Food and Nutrition Services activities to provide an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment by coordinating and supervising assigned functions. Supervise food production, ensuring standardized recipes and production sheets. Lead and supervise daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department assigned areas, including patient and non?patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctors dining room, catering, and floorstock. Qualifications High School Diploma (required). Minimum of three years experience in food services or hospitality (required). Knowledge of hospital and health care operations (preferred). Knowledge of hospital and health care financial metrics (preferred). Minimum of one?year experience in a supervisory position (preferred). Licensure, Certifications and Training Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate (required). Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required). State Food Handler Card, or equivalent (if applicable). Local Food Handler Card, or equivalent (if applicable).
