COMPANY PROFILE:Heavy Civil Site Development Company - handling projects from infrastructure to miningSite preparation, Reclamation, Mass Excavation, Utilities, Landfill, MiningMarkets include Commercial, Industrial, Municipal, MiningWHAT THIS COMPANY OFFERS YOU:Competitive pay and excellent benefits package including: Excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage401k with matchBonus eligibleCell phone allowanceCompany provided iPad for use in the fieldCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceNonstop challengesFull pipeline of work stretching for more than 1 year with additional projects being considered.Structured, organized environment with actively involved ownership/management.Excellent training and growth opportunities - this company believes in and has a history of promoting from withinCompany believes in work/life balance.THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAYResponsible for guiding and directing activities on a given project while adhering to all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations while meeting company goals. •Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to OSHA and other regulations as well as company policies.•Read and interpret engineered plans and stake out in the field.•Set up GPS base station and GPS guided equipment.•Perform JSA, toolbox talks, and any required safety training, planning, communication related to the project.•Communicate production issues and constraints and implement plans to overcome them.•Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.•Participate in routine equipment maintenance.•Practice 'Safely, All Day'•Complete daily fuel, load count and hour logs on a daily basis•Complete daily workplace examinations and repair deficiencies•Maintain all cred card receipts, code correctly and complete expense report turned in weekly.•Maintain a professional appearance.•Maintain company vehicle to company standards.•General daily preventative equipment maintenance•Maintain current tool inventory in maintenance trailer/truck.•Maintain fuel tank level and inventory, communicate to management for deliveries.•Keep the job site clean, prepared for inclement weather and on track.•Maintain all erosion control devices and report deficiencies.•Guide and lead the crew in all daily activities.•Perform minor emergency repairs on equipment as needed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES•Equipment operation and maintenance •Equipment safetyGrading and general land preparation experience for commercial, municipal, and other projects•General site preparation techniques and procedures•Site preparation surveying and layout•Knowledge of and ability to operate front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, excavators, scrapers, and other heavy equipment.•Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques•Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures - OSHA and/or MSHA training a plus•Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures•Client service and public relations skills •Team building•Effective verbal and listening communication skills.•Ability to communicate effectively in English.•Ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records.•Time management skills•Must have a valid driver's license with less than 3 moving violations in 3 years.•Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screenings.•Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.CANDIDATES NEED BACKGROUND IN HEAVY CIVIL SITE WORKPersonal AttributesMust demonstrate the following personal attributes:be honest and trustworthy, be respectful.able to communicate effectively.possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.be flexible.demonstrate sound work ethics.deal with the public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner.RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
