Job Summary Develop outside counsel relationships and lead litigation strategy to support company‑wide business objectives and manage high‑reputational and economic portfolios. Collaborate with business, government and clinical groups to align legal strategy, mitigate regulatory and enterprise risk, and implement cost control and remediation initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Promote learning and influence cross‑functional stakeholders through clear communication, actionable feedback, and self‑leadership. Lead business‑specific projects by applying deep subject‑matter expertise, establishing processes, solving complex problems, and escalating high‑priority risks. Negotiate and review legal documents, draft complex written advice, and serve as the principal contact for clients and legal professionals. Conduct advanced legal research, analyze statutory and regulatory authority, and communicate insights to senior business stakeholders. Assess legal risk, provide strategic legal guidance, and collaborate with internal and outside counsel on complex matters. Contribute to legal planning and strategy by developing solutions to regulatory actions, supporting health plan and clinical strategies, and guiding responses to enforcement actions. Minimum Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of experience in litigation (discovery, law & motion, experts, pre‑trial, trial/arbitration). Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent and minimum five (5) years of experience as a practicing lawyer. State Bar License (California).
