The position includes direct reports that implement and execute the policies and procedures of the business operations’ quality program/system. Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability: Coordinate control plans, inspection systems, and action plans to achieve expected results. Monitor performance of individuals and processes and direct continual improvements as appropriate. Mentor and develop team members. Supervise nonconformance, containment, and corrective action execution and metrics. Supervise Gage & tool calibration maintenance. Supervise the Internal Audit Program. Chair the Management Review Meeting. Coordinate and host ISO 9001:2008 audits. Coordinate orientation, education, and training in ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) and related processes, including strategic and tactical quality system planning. Requirements Education: Post-secondary education (engineering degree preferred) or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer/Analyst, Quality Specialist, or equivalent; preferred: 6 Sigma Green Belt, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Supervisory experience, and Professional Engineering designation. Qualifications: Understanding of ISO9001:2008 QMS requirements. Knowledge of inspection systems and standards. Strong facilitation, leadership, and motivational skills. Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and training skills. Process management and continual improvement skills. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 QMS and tools (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone). Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or plan to achieve certification.
