Paint Technician

CEG's growing industrial/environmental services client is seeking a Paint Technician to join their growing team in Alabaster, AL The Paint Technician will use a keen eye for detail to operate abrasive blasting equipment to apply various abrasives to clean, remove corrosion or other contaminants on materials. Responsibilities:
- Protect surface or items that are not to be painted using masking tape or other materials.
- Pressure washing, grinding and abrasive blasting.
- Knowledge of blasting equipment and set up.
- Able to perform tasks using brushes and rollers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Follow all safety regulations.
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade.
- Skill in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
- Valid driver's license required
- Industrial painting or sandblasting experience preferred
- Physical stamina
- Attention to detail
- Must be self-motivated with good initiative and flexibility.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug testing.
