OverviewGeneral description: Provide day-to-day leadership and direction of the sales and marketing plans for the company. Works to grow revenue, maximize financial returns, drive the development of people, and build the AEV brand.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and marketing objectives.Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to enhance performance.Prepare annual sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets and achieve required operating results.Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximum return on investment. Use distribution channels and technology platforms to drive revenue and maximize market share.Learn, understand, and utilize all brand-specific sales programs and tools.Submit weekly sales recap/production reports.Drive team member involvement in community organizations, activities, and businesses.Perform other duties as assigned.Required skills and experiencePrevious successful experience running a national sales organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.Knowledge of the aftermarket parts industry and upfit vehicle industry.Understanding of how to position products against competitors.QualificationsBachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.Five to ten years’ prior Director Of Sales experience.Must speak fluent English.Other languages preferred - Spanish.Physical requirementsMust be able to stand/walk and have good communication skills to complete walk-around demonstrations with no limits.Walking alongside vehicles for videos and/or photos.Working at trade shows and events will require daily walking, standing for long periods of time, carrying display items sometimes weighing as much as 50 lbs., and bending, kneeling, grasping, and crouching to set up and tear down displays.Must be able to hear and see large trucks moving in and out of trade shows and events.Must be able to see various shapes, colors, and designs to review print ads and catalogs.Travel requirementsThis role may require local and international travel.
