The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is a top‑tier department with world‑renowned faculty and staff. This position will be 100% clinical billable and located in clinic locations throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with OB/GYN generalist physicians to deliver comprehensive and trauma‑informed care to an underserved population. Essential Functions Working collaboratively with OB/GYN generalist physicians and providing comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients. Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests. Monitor the effectiveness of interventions. Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care. Perform office‑based procedures within the scope of practice. Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed. Align care delivery with public health priorities through strategic partnership with local community health organizations. Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans. Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence‑based practice. Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, residents and medical students. Perform history and physical examinations in the outpatient setting; write progress notes and narrative discharge summaries. Maintain accurate medical records, and complete in a timely fashion per department standards. Seek the consult of supervising physicians when needed and participate in case/chart review. Participate in quality and safety initiatives. Complete all trainings in a timely fashion. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Minimum Requirements Nurse Practitioner: Required Education: Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program. Required Trainings/Certifications: Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority; Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty. Required Experience: Three (3) years nursing experience; Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub‑specialty. Physician’s Assistant: Required Education: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Required Trainings/Certifications: Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority; Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Required Experience: Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub‑specialty.
