Job Description
The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables efficiently and accurately. The Food Runner will also maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with the Culinary team. Communication must be concise throughout the Food & Beverage team, including management to uphold the standards of Wildflower Farms.
Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
* Assist customers with their orders by explaining specials, meals, and drinks, and make recommendations.
* Ensure robust knowledge of the Food & Beverage menu offerings along with staying current on any menu changes/updates.
* Deliver food & beverage orders to guests in a timely manner and provide explanation of items being delivered to the guests.
* Ensure accurate delivery of guest orders to the correct guest seat.
* Refill water glasses as needed throughout service.
* Accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests.
* Assist with setting tables by ensuring accurate placement of placing appropriate plateware, utensils, glassware, silverware, decorations, and napkins.
* Remain in compliance with federal, state, and local food service regulations.
* Occasionally check on guests to assist with any requests or concerns.
* Clearing plates, glassware, and silverware throughout service as needed.
* Prepare the Food Runner station accordingly for opening & closing.
* Ensure proper inventory of items needed to execute service without interruption.
* Communicate and guest feedback to F&B Management as necessary.
* Any other duties as assigned
Rate: $15.00/hour
Qualifications
* A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
* Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Spanish is a plus.
* Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment.
* Ability to multi-task and remain calm during the busiest of times
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
