Is a team player who displays goods decision-making, excellent communication skills, and a professional manner in all aspects of work. Utilizes and manages resources appropriately and ensures food safety is performed at all times. Performs area sanitation tasks including cleaning of all cooking equipment and work stations. Maintains China/Dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in clean orderly and sanitary condition. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** Prep Cook will occasionally be asked to cook or finish a recipe or product. Primarily performs duties associated with the preparation of foods for tray line and catering but may do limited baking, frying and general cooking duties. Preps food used by cooks. Performs ingredient prep duties, gathering items in the correct quantities needed for appropriate recipes. Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation. Let dry completely before storing or reusing. Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards. Let supervisor know in a timely manner if levels are off. Clean and maintain dish area in an orderly manner to include mats, clear walkway and in compliance with all other safety standards. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surface as assigned. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
