Please send resume and cover letter to bruwart@bobruwartmotors.com Responsibilities The Executive Director provides leadership in the business development and job creation activities of Platte County and is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the Platte County Economic Development Corporation. Serves as the first contact and image of the business community of Platte County. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field such as business, marketing, or finance Experience in marketing, research, strategic planning, facilitation, economic impact analysis, implementing incentives programs, and infrastructure planning/development will be considered in lieu of formal education • Completion of the Basic Economic Development Course with attendance at the Economic Development Institute within the first year of employment. • Ability to articulate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated success in making effective presentations in public speaking situations. • Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative and positive team member, self-directed and results oriented through relationship building. • Knowledge of organizations, agencies and other resources that can assist businesses/communities with development efforts.
