- System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
- Assisting with the development and deployment of high-performance computing and data engineering solutions.
- Creating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, administrating Kubernetes deployments (YAML, Helm).
- Configuration management using tools such as Ansible.
- Developing and deploying solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform.
- Implementing cloud security solutions in AWS using cloud-native tools. Development and deployment of AWS IAM and Organizations Service Control Policies, permission sets, and secure IaC.
- Supporting and mentoring more junior engineers and team members.
Required Skills:
- BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience working in an information systems, network and/or server administrator role.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting AWS cloud-based DevOps solutions using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Linux Operating System administration.
- Scripting with Python and Bash.
- AWS Computing Administration and Management (e.g., IAM, VPC, Route53, EC2, S3, EFS, Lambda, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, SNS).
- Managing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Database Development and Administration (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Neo4j).
- Log management, metrics monitoring, and alarms for compute resources (e.g., CloudWatch, Elasticsearch).
- Working experience with source control tools and concepts such as git workflows, versioning, branching (GitHub, GitLab).
- Knowledge of standard security processes in a DevOps environment.
