Adjunct Faculty: Performing Arts (Theater- Movement for the Actor) About Bunker Hill Community College Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is one of Massachusetts' largest community colleges, serving about 16,000 students annually. BHCC offers associate degrees and certificates, early college and dual enrollment, community education, corporate training, and industry‑specific programs. Location Boston, MA. Position Adjunct Instructor of Theatre (THR 146: Movement for the Actor), Wednesday 10:00am‑12:45pm, Spring 2026. Salary $1,397 per credit hour. Primary Responsibilities Deliver engaging instruction in actor movement, emphasizing physical expressiveness, spatial awareness, and embodied character work. Lead studio‑based exercises and processes that build strength, flexibility, focus, and ensemble collaboration. Support students in connecting physical training to acting technique and performance projects. Requirements MA or MFA in Theatre or a related field, plus professional performance experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in a diverse and collaborative academic environment. Expertise in actor movement pedagogies, physical theatre, or related movement disciplines (e.g., Viewpoints, Laban, Suzuki, Lecoq, or stage combat). Preferred Qualifications MFA in Acting or Dance. Significant professional performance experience, with demonstrated expertise in physical‑theatre. College‑level teaching experience.
