Job Summary:
* Reading blueprints and specifications

* Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced
* Measuring products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
* Operating electronic inspection equipment and software
* Accepting or rejecting finished items
* Removing all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
* Reporting inspection and testing data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected

Quality control inspectors should have:
* An eye for detail, to catch defects.
* Experience with quality management systems (QMS).
* Math skills – data reporting, measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are just some of the many skills you should possess.
* Critical thinking skills, to help work through customer problems and production issues, as well as develop strategies for improving product quality.
* Physical strength and stamina, as the job requires time on the feet.
* Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and manuals.
* A desire to achieve the best and ensure top-quality products.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for conducting quality audits, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. Your attention to detail and ability to use precision measuring instruments will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality control.

Duties:

- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products

- Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with company standards and FDA regulations

- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product dimensions

- Document and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards

- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures

- Fabricate or modify inspection fixtures as needed

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency

- Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines for food safety, if applicable

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus

- Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role

- Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices

- Familiarity with FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines (if applicable)

- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and CMMs

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
