Overview The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins Hospital is a 28‑bed unit providing comprehensive medical and surgical intensive care for children from birth to 21 years old. As Maryland’s only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and state‑designated pediatric burn ICU, the PICU cares for children up to 15 years of age with complex diagnoses including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO. Position Details Role: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) New Grad Registered Nurse Shifts: 12‑hour rotating shifts Employment Type: Part‑time Qualifications BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program preferred. Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and completing the degree within five years. Active Maryland or Compact RN license required. BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted). No RN experience required. Who Should Apply?
