General Description:

Provides expert analytical and technical support to clients and members of USI’s Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams to analyze, design, market, price and place risks. Makes fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their most complex insurance issues. Responsibilities: Evaluate a client’s risk profile using analytical models and resources to assist in strategically developing a Casualty program.

Recognize trends and create client-facing summaries modeling policy options.

Assess clients’ contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement. Make recommendations for improvement for existing clients and new business prospects.

Negotiate underwriting terms and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients and Account Management teams.

Provide guidance, coaching and development to Casualty Analytics team.

Support Sales Executives in providing data and proposals for prospective clients.

Work closely with claims and risk control team to develop new loss control strategies, ideas, and processes.

Take part in recruiting efforts and train new hires. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 5-10+ years broking and/or underwriting technical experience. Ability to interpret and effectively communicate analytics outputs is critical to this role. Must hold or be willing to obtain Property & Casualty insurance license within 90 days of hire. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred Deep, technical knowledge of commercial insurance and market appetites across various industries. Strong business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills internally and externally and ability to work independently and collaboratively while adhering to timelines. Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, but not required.
