The DALLAS office of Thompson Coe, LLP seeks an attorney with 10-20 years' experience in civil litigation to join the Casualty section of the firm as a Partner. Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, excellent advocacy and writing skills, and a willingness to train and mentor younger attorneys. Litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, attending mediations, and trying civil cases is strongly preferred. Valid Texas BAR license required.
The Partner in this position will defend a variety of casualty cases, including wrongful death and survival actions, products liability, premises liability, dramshop, trucking and transportation, construction litigation, and other matters involving catastrophic personal injuries and/or property damage. The Partner will work closely with an associate to oversee the day-to-day aspects of these cases, including client meetings, reporting and investigation, discovery and motion practice, and taking and attending depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations and/or trials. No portable business is required.
