Position Purpose

The Internal Sales & Logistics Manager will play a key role in overseeing order processing, logistics coordination, and customer outreach to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. This position involves managing end-to-end order processing, from intake through distribution, and ensuring accuracy in billing, invoicing, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in order management, including billbacks, customer outreach, and distribution logistics, and will excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with proven experience in end-to-end order processing, billbacks, customer communications, forecasting, receiving and distribution in a manufacturing environment; preferably in the food industry.
  • Proficient in order processing systems, ERP, and billing systems.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and distribution in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in billing and invoicing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data tracking and reporting.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works on site at our Reidsville, NC facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Support & Order Management: Manage the entire order-to-fulfillment process, ensure timely processing of sales orders, accurate documentation, and prompt communication with the sales team, customers, and production departments.
  • Inventory & Logistics Coordination: Oversee inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock, collaborating with production and warehouse teams to optimize space utilization and streamline logistics.
  • Distribution & Shipping: Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and freight companies to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales trends, order fulfillment metrics, and logistics performance to improve operations, reduce lead times, and increase accuracy.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as a point of contact for internal sales and logistics inquiries, providing prompt and clear responses and fostering positive relationships with clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in order fulfillment, inventory control, and logistics, implementing best practices to drive efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead, train, and develop a small team of sales and logistics coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence.
