Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $55.00/hr Professional Recruiter at Insight Global (I am hiring) Location: Arlington, TX 76010 Hours: 3 shift times available, (most controls work to be performed on Day shift schedule, support for start up might be required during implementation) 6:30 AM- 2:30 PM 2:30 PM- 10:30 PM 10:30 PM- 6:30 AM Must Haves: 4+ years of experience as a controls/automation engineer working with Allen Bradley PLCs (troubleshooting & programming) Experience working with HMIs (They use Siemens) Experience working in Automotive or manufacturing environment Plusses: Experience with drives (rockwell, siemens, powerflex, motor, kinetic) Experience with robotic programming (Fanuc Kuka ABB) Ability to program Allen Bradley from scratch Experience with Eplan Previous GM Experience / know GM standards Stamping or Press experience GCCH-1 Certification GCCS-2 Certification Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer for a large Automotive OEM. The controls engineer will be programming Allen Bradley PLCs and supporting the production line for stamping and press machines. You will be going on layout meetings, ensuring the project runs efficiently and is meeting deadlines, and troubleshooting on the production line as needed. Additional Responsibilities include: New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff) Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts Manage deliveries to program timing milestones Provide project report outs to senior management Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers/plants Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.
