Pediatric Endocrinologist – UNC Wilmington & Novant Health Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine is seeking an open‑rank, fixed‑term, clinical faculty position to practice in a multi‑specialty academic practice in Wilmington, NC. This role partners UNC Health, UNC School of Medicine, and Novant Health to provide specialty care to children from communities throughout southeastern and coastal North Carolina. The faculty member will also develop and perform clinical activities in surrounding outreach locations in Southeast NC. Responsibilities Provide outpatient pediatric endocrinology care, including evaluation, management, and follow‑up of children with endocrine disorders. Participate in inpatient consultations and serve on the pediatric endocrine team at the affiliated children’s hospital. Conduct clinical activities at outpatient and hospital sites, and outreach locations throughout the region. Engage in teaching and educational opportunities with medical students and residents. Collaborate within the UNC Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, contributing to clinic streams such as diabetes, Turner syndrome, gender wellness, and disorders of sexual development. Support research activities and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. Expertise in management of high‑prevalence endocrine conditions in children and willingness to manage rare and complex conditions with support from UNC Children’s Hospital. Clinical experience in a multi‑specialty academic setting preferred. Commitment to teaching, patient care, and participation in the UNC academic mission. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with endocrine subspecialty clinics such as Turner syndrome, gender wellness, and disorders of sexual development. Prior involvement in research or quality improvement projects.
