We are looking to add a Bather to our team at A Touch of Class Pet Resort

CORE RESPONSIBILITES (can include but are not limited to):
  • Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet
  • Answering the phone and booking appointments
  • Checking in clients and understanding what the customer wants
  • Answering any questions clients may have with a friendly attitude
  • Handling, bathing, blow drying, and brushing on all breeds of animals in a timely fashion while following proper procedure.
  • Trimming nails and brushing teeth as trained
  • Assisting the groomer as needed
  • Cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining the salon between pets and at end of each shift.
  • Laundry
  • Taking the dogs outside to relive themselves.
  • Keep the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up.


REQUIREMENTS:

Expertise & Experience:
  • Must be a pet fanatic - pets are part of our family
  • Professional experience working with animals is a plus.
  • Displays a professional manner at all times.
  • Having the ability to work under pressure while still following proper procedure.
  • Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate a phone, computer and learn facility software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with animal behavior, body posture and hair textures is a plus.
  • Work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation, animal hair/fecal matter, hot/cold temperatures and getting wet.
  • Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs.
  • Entry Level role. High school/ College/ Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply.
Physical:
  • Scheduling may vary depending on availability and need
  • Must frequently lift 50+ pounds.
  • Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

PAY: $10 - $15/hour DOE.
