The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Electronics Technician (Multi Jammer Characterization-MJC)-Junior to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Electronics Technician (Multi Jammer Characterization-MJC)-Junior may include:

  • Provides technical support and operates the Multi Jammer Characterization (MJC) motion platforms/other ECSTIM-based simulators as needed
  • Participates in test preparation, execution, post-test reporting and breakdown
  • Assists engineers as they conduct tests and develop processes
  • Diagnoses and repairs electronic systems and components; including circuit boards, control systems and other devices
  • Conducts routine testing, calibration and inspection of electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Identefies and resolves issues in electronic systems using diagnostic tools and software
  • Assists in the installation and setup of electronic systems and equipment
Must-haves:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics/blueprints
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and systems
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment
  • The ability to solder and desolder electronic components
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • BS Degree
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design
  • Experience with electrical wiring
  • Experience with electrical engineering/technology
  • Experience with mechanical engineering/technology
Skills Crucial to Success at AMEWAS:

Candidates must have a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion, and have the ability to work effectively with both management, and as part of a team, to meet project targets.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
