The individual will be responsible for executing daily account rebalancing trades, managing individual account restrictions, maintaining the credit watch list, and assisting in writing portfolio commentaries. This person will also be taught the firm’s approach to credit analysis and be given the opportunity to work in this area as well.

In a boutique firm, each professional is required to contribute in a variety of ways that may change over time. Hence, a flexible attitude and orientation toward teamwork are prerequisites. Dolan McEniry seeks to build efficiencies through automation whenever possible, thus the ideal candidate should have strong technical skills. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables). Experience with SQL or other programming languages is a plus.

 

Having directly relevant experience is a plus, but not critical as this is an entry level position.

 

College degree from an accredited four-year university/college is required.

 

Dolan McEniry provides investment management services to foundations, endowments, corporate and public pension funds, Taft-Hartley accounts, sovereign nations, and wealthy families. Located in Chicago, Dolan McEniry Capital Management is a private firm specializing in investment grade and high yield fixed income. We currently manage over $11.5 billion in assets for our clients.

 

Responsibilities of new hire

 

-         Cash raises

-         Manage and verify client restrictions and account investment policy adherence.

-         Update/ manage target list

-         Portfolio meeting notes

-         Client commentaries

-         Update Dolan McEniry credit models


Skills Needed

 

-         Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word

-         Desire to learn fixed income trading

-         Diligent, hardworking, attentive to detail, honest

-         Experience with SQL or other programming languages a plus
