Purchasing Clerk Job Details: Purchasing ClerkSchedule: M- F 8:30am-5pm or 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm
Pay Rate: $22 - $24 per hour
Purchasing Clerk Job Description:
• Provides administrative and clerical support to the department.
• Types reports, memoranda, and other documents.
• Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
• Coordinate all vendor activities directly related to production needs.
• Create and enter purchase orders based on inventory needs or special orders via requisition.
• Monitor and track incoming orders.
• Interdepartmental communication on order status for incoming materials.
• Reconcile material inventory counts.
• Maintain purchasing records in ERP (Syspro).
• Assist with other tasks assigned by the purchasing manager.
Purchasing Clerk Job Requirements:
• Computer proficiency, particularly with spreadsheet programs and ERP.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Time management skills
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Experience in supply chain / procurement (preferred)
• 1-3 years’ experience in a clerical support role in a warehouse and/or manufacturing setting.
• Forklift and other Industrial Power Lift experience or certification helpful but not required.
