Join to apply for the Data Architect role at Knowledge Services. Work Conditions Majority remote, required onsite in Augusta, ME one day a month. 40‑hour week Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Serve as daily subject‑matter expert for all Oracle technologies and toolsets. Focus on data modeling and develop automated ETL processes pulling from a variety of data sources. Design and implement enterprise‑class data repositories built upon Oracle on‑prem and cloud‑hosted databases. Apply dimensional modeling and act as a technical mentor. Develop, monitor, and maintain automated DB processes. Research and resolve database issues as they arise. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and DBAs. Work closely with IT vendors, leadership, and business partners. Play a key role in upcoming system migrations, expansions, and data modernization efforts. Data Architect Required Skills Extensive practical experience with modern Oracle platforms and technologies. Senior DBA‑level experience designing and implementing enterprise‑class repositories on‑prem and cloud‑hosted databases. Experience developing fully automated ETL processes from flat‑file and DB sources. Experience utilizing API calls for automated data refreshes. Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). Mastery of SQL and PL/SQL for developing complex procedures, functions, views, and scripts. Experience with tabular data models. Ability to capture complex business requirements and translate into robust, scalable, reliable solutions. Disciplined approach to process and error logging. Excellent coding comments, system documentation, and metadata creation. Technical mentor to senior and junior staff. Develop architectural diagrams and system documentation, and train others. Research technical options to find suitable solutions for evolving needs. Work independently toward project goals with limited oversight.
